I’m Jim Royal — technical writer and photographer.
I attended my first STC-Montreal meeting in 1996. I was the speaker for the evening, telling a roomful of people with more experience than I how they should be organizing their graphics workflow.
I was president of STC-Montreal for the 2004—2005 season. And I have been the chapter’s webmaster since 2008.
Even though STC-Montreal has reached a point of unsustainability, I believe a different organization could continue serve the community of technical writers without the limitations imposed by a parent organization.
This is where you and I will start working on new ideas.
